Working
Together to Put Ideas Into Action.
Gender violence on college campuses has been big news
recently, while alcohol abuse, hazing, hate crimes, rioting and other
forms of violence in college settings also continue to make headlines.
When violence hits close to home, campus personnel must react quickly
and appropriately, often with little time for planning. It’s never
easy to deal with, but efforts made ahead of time for the eventuality
can help college communities respond more efficiently and quickly. That’s
why Violence Goes to College offers an interdisciplinary approach, helping
a wide range of campus departments, police, advocacy groups, government
agencies, parents, student leaders and media learn the best practices.
